Oakcrest Management is a family owned business with deep roots in Evant, Texas

John W. Drennan began the company in 1974 after a career with the Trammel Crow Company.

John T. Drennan joined the business after earning his MBA in 1994. Over the next thirty years, we assembled a team of professionals ranging from Harvard MBAs and attorneys to local mechanics and managers. We have built everything from high-rise offices and apartments, to self-storage and commercial warehouses, to schools and residential subdivisions.

We are developing The Ranches of Buena Vista as the culmination of our dream to give back to the community that started us.

For John, his happiest memories are spending time with his grandparents and family in Evant. John’s great-great-grandfather moved to Evant in 1860 to farm and ranch and start a family. His great-grandfather owned a downtown hardware store.

His grandfather worked on the road crew that built Highway 281, and his other grandfather was a rancher in Beehouse, just across the mountain from The Ranches of Buena Vista. These ancestors loved this community, and passed that appreciation down through the generations.

Oakcrest Management started remodeling Evant’s downtown district

2019

Opened the Buena Vista Wildlife Safari and RV Park

Spending time listening to our guests, John realized the need for affordable land that people could buy, and began developing The Ranches of Buena Vista.

John knows just how important it is to have a place where you can craft your own dreams, launch your own legacy for families to come.
